Hello Greg

Got the Reel Pearl Lures Saturday...just in time for Day two on the Central Alabama Solo Trail (C.A.S.T.) 2 day Championship on Alabama's Jordan Lake!

Sunday morning I tied on one of the Reel Pearl Lures you sent me (by the way love the new packaging) and fished it throughout the day on a 6 foot rod with 14 pound test line, catching several schooling largemouth bass and spotted bass on flats. It paid off late Sunday about 2 p.m. with the Reel Pearl catching a 3 pound largemouth
that was one of my key bass weighed in that evening.

As a matter of fact, that one bass (caught one hour before quitting time), made the difference in me getting 2nd place instead of third, in this end-of-the-year major solo trail championship with some of Alabama's best anglers competing for $2000!

I had 5 bass weighing 12 pounds Saturday, day one, and had Big Bass of the day (weighing 4 lbs.12 ozs.) putting me in third. First place that day weighed in 15 1/2 pounds and second had 14 1/2 pounds.

Sunday I brought in 13 1/2 pounds and one weighing 4.78 lbs. I was in first place with second day angler failing to get a limit with only 3 bass 9 pounds, his 2 day total 23 1/2 pounds. Then first place angler brought in 18 pounds and blew everyone away! including bumping me back to 2nd. He had 33 pounds for two days and got $2000 plus $150 for big bass. I got $1000 for second place and $150 for big bass.

That is...Thanks to the Reel Pearl USA Lure!

Thank You, for creating such a fish catching lure!

Dear Greg,

My Name is John and your brother let me borrow the Reel Pearl Lure he had gotten from you. Me and some buddies went fishing last week and I had a chance to use the lure. To my surprise.....on the first cast I landed a 5 1/2 lb Bass. Boy talk about excited. I kept on using the Reel Pearl and some other favorites of mine that day. In all we caught and released 30 Bass that day and 16 were off the Reel Pearl lure. I landed 5 Bass over 3.5 lbs with the lure. Sure wish I had it in the Bass tournament last month and I wish I had a picture to send you for your website. I will be ordering my own lures this week and the next time we go fishing I will have a camera.

I recieved a packet of your Reel Pearl USA lures late last year in 2003. As a fishing guide, outdoor writer, tournament angler and radio show host, I get lots of free lures to field test each week. But somehow, I knew that this one was unique in its own way. Even during cold weather! After several trips (trying all sizes of the Reel Pearl), fishing throughout Alabama's Lakes and successfully catching largemouth bass, spotted bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid-striped bass and some huge, striped bass, I can honestly say, this lure catches all species of fish...when other lures fail to even get a strike! The unique action and counter-rotating spinners are unlike most conventional in-line spinners and the Reel Pearl actually gives any fish a different look at a lure with design features unlike any lure on the market today. I would suggest anyone at least give it a try and see the amazing results this Reel Pearl lure can produce! I can't wait until Spring when it gets even better, to show em' the Reel Pearl. This will give the fish a new look at a new lure, that will definantly entice strikes from those picky, spawning fish!

Thanks for producing such a fine product, that actually catches the fish...not the angler!

A friend told me about the Reel Pearl, and I had a chance to see one in action about late August 2002, here is a picture of the Fish that was caught. I'm the one taking the picture cause I was using a Buzz Bomb, and caught nothing but a chill. Fishing SUCKS without a Reel Pearl. This BIG 54lb King Salmon was caught August 15th 2002 in the Straight Of Georgia 4 miles off Keats Island, sortta between Gibsons & Naniamo using a No.1 Reel Pearl. Down about 40 to 60ft trolling at 3 knots. I say this is the biggest fish I have ever seen. Next time I go out I'll be the one holding the fish, I gotta get my hot little hands on a Reel Pearl.

WOW those really do work!!

Take a look at this Musky I caught with the Reel Pearl.

Hit at dusk, took about 45 minutes to land it.

Released !!

Dear Reel Pearl, This is just a short note to thank you for designing one of the most unique and interesting lures I have seen in years. A friend of mine sent me two of them and said “here try this amazing lure for one round.” Well I have never heard that before -- right? But I guess this time he was right on the money; this is a quick story of my first day using Reel Pearl. I went to one of my favorite lakes, Crowduck in the Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba. I figured what the heck – I would try the Reel Pearl lure and am I ever glad I did! I have fished nearly every weekend for the last 10 years, and it took until now, and with Reel Pearl, for me to get my first trophy small mouth bass. After just two casts I had a 19 & ¼ inch bass that is close to the biggest bass I have ever seen. As the day went on I found it to work great on walleye also, as you can see by the pictures of the 28-29” walleye I also caught that day. Three trophy fish in one day all on the same lure. Reel Pearl you got me hooked, send me more. This is one new lure I might NOT tell my fishing buddies about! Thank you, Doug Smith WPG, MB

The first time I tried a spinner from Reel Pearl was during the fall Chinook fishery off Pt. Grey in Vancouver Harbour. A few of the other boats were catching a fair number of Pinks, and though my customer was only really interested in hooking up a big Chinook, I suggested putting the spinner out on a really light rod to see if we could have a bit of fun with Pinks while we awaited our next Chinook.

I hooked the spinner to my back downrigger and lowered it about 30 feet. The counter-rotating blades nullified line twist typically found with spinners, so trolling the lure off a downrigger wasn't going to cause any twisting problems. We didn't hook any Pinks during the short time we trolled the lure, but we did end up catching a Chinook in the 30 pound class on it within about 20 minutes. A VERY pleasant and unexpected surprise.

I would not have thought a spinner would work on open water Chinook, but I have now seen it work. The large amount of flash and the noticeable pulse of the blades could very well trigger the strike reflex in a Chinook which would otherwise be indifferent to our lures. I am definitely going to experiment with these spinners during our spring and summer Chinook fisheries this year.

The next time I really gave the spinners a try was during an estuary Coho fishery. We were trolling and casting spinners and spoons to roving schools of Coho, and the spinner from Reel Pearl more than held its own. It was easily our most productive lure (until it broke off on the bottom). Again, there was a noticeable benefit from the counter-rotating blades. We could troll and cast the lure without worrying about the line twist which is so common when using regular spinners and light line. I definitely need to have several of these spinners in my box before the start of this year's estuary fishery.

Reel Pearl Fishing Lures

Every year an overwhelming number of new fishing lures hit the market. Some are simply designed to catch the angler and not the fish. Fancy packaging, holographic imagery, and slick advertising campaigns with big budgets can some times fool even the wariest seasoned angler.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to test hundreds of lures, most of these have proved to be mediocre at best. This year however, I had the good fortune to discover a truly exceptional new lure called the Reel Pearl created by Chance Gatzky at Reel Pearl Fishing Lures.

In the spring of 2001 I was checking out the displays at the Calgary Boat & Sportsmen Show when I came across the Reel Pearl booth. I listened in as Chance Gatzky was explaining to several other perspective customers what made his lure different. I looked at it and all I saw at first glance was just another spinner. Well being the curious guy I am and always looking to have one up on my buddies I thought I would buy a couple and give them a try.

My first test drive would be ice-out on the Lower Kananaskis Lake for Bull Trout and then I would stop at my hot spot on the upper Bow and try for some Brown Trout. I was pretty confident that it would catch Bull Trout but if the Reel Pearl could catch Browns I knew it would prove to be a worthwhile addition to my tackle box.

First cast and wham a 27 inch Bull Trout then in the next 10 casts I caught and released 8 more Bull Trout ranging in size from 22 to 31 inches. Well I was convinced this lure could be the ticket on those wary Browns on the upper Bow, so with out any hesitation off I went to the Upper Bow.

When I got there it was dead calm and the water was crystal clear, not a good sign. Usually when it is that calm it becomes virtually impossible to catch any Browns as they spook so easy in this particular spot. Well I was impressed right away it took only three well-placed casts and I had a big Brown chase the lure within a foot of shore and nail the lure right at my feet. It was a 26 inch Brown one of my biggest yet in this spot. After several more casts I finished the day catching a total of 8 Browns ranging from 18 to 26 inches.

Since that first day out I have caught Bull Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Arctic Grayling, Walleye, and Northern Pike on the Reel Pearl. The Reel Pearl has earned a permanent spot in my arsenal of fishing tackle. This lure reliably delivers impressive results with all sport fish.
